Somfy & the French Biathlon team

Shared values

Performance

Biathlon is a demanding discipline that requires as much skill in skiing as in shooting. Being able to maintain a sustained effort on the slope and then intense concentration on the shooting range is not for everyone.

This performance is a source of inspiration for Somfy's teams, who must take up the challenge of being the reference partner for window and door automation.

Precision

Waxing has become a key competitive advantage in keeping a team at the top of the world rankings. Gliding, as well as shooting, which requires an alignment of body and mind, is part of the winning equation in a biathlon race.

At Somfy, precision on a production line is also a requirement that demands concentration at all times.

Commitment

There can be no success in high performance sport without determination and total commitment to achieve one's goals.

For several years now, Somfy has been committed to an ambitious sustainable development strategy to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve the objective that 100% of its products sold should be eco-designed by 2030, thus reducing their environmental impact throughout their life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials to their recycling.

Team spirit

Individual races are a real driving force for biathletes but it is also in the strength of the team that they can often find the resources to give their best.

For Somfy too, team spirit is a major factor for success. Everyone has a role to play and contributes to the team to achieve performance and efficiency.
