Benefit from better thermal comfort and energy efficiency. The summers are getting warmer, which can cause the temperature in the house to rise considerably. During winter, it is often uncomfortably cold and wet outside for long periods. In both cases, we want to keep the temperature and living environment in the home comfortable and pleasant, without impacting on energy consumption.
The most efficient way to do something about this is to make smarter use of that free heat source: the sun in combination with opening and closing your window coverings (roller shutters, external venetian blinds, interior blinds…) The "Thermal Comfort" pre-scene in the TaHoma app gives you the opportunity to optimise your well-being and energy efficiency year-round by automating your window coverings according to your devices, the season and the time of day. They automatically adjust to the right position, at the right moment, even away from home.
Create it in a few clicks
Step-by-step guidance makes it quick and easy to create. TaHoma presets the opening and closing of your equipment according to their exposure and time of day. With or without sensors, TaHoma works for your comfort and energy savings.
In summer, as soon as the indoor temperature rises, your sun protection closes automatically to protect home from overheating. In winter, they open to catch the heat, and close when the sun sets to keep the heat in.
Responds to indoor and outdoor conditions e.q. weather conditions.
Keep your home cooler by blocking the sun or heat on warmer days.
Warm up your home with the sun and keep heat in on colder days.
Optimise your energy consumption (heating, A/C), which is good for your wallet and the environment!
Outdoor sunlight and/or indoor temperature sensors can be added. Thanks to them, your window coverings can be automated in summer and winter according to the temperature inside and the level of sunlight.
Did you know? The sunlight sensor built-in the solar panel of the RS100 roller shutter and the indoor temperature sensor embedded in the Amy io wall switch can enhance the scene.
In the «Scenes» menu, click on Create a new scene, then Thermal comfort.
Identify and configure your most exposed façade.
Is there a sensor on this façade?
For installations without a sun sensor, choose: “No sensor on this façade”
For installations with SUNIS WIREFREE II io, choose “Sun sensor”
(the other façades can be configured later).
Select the device on the same façade that will be controlled:
You can fully customise your scene’s settings such as:

Your Thermal Comfort scene is activated!
You must manually select the season if you want to switch from the summer programme to the winter programme.
In the "Scenes" menu, click on Create a new scene, then Thermal comfort.
Identify & configure the most exposed façade.
Is there a indoor temperature sensor or a outdoor brightness sensor you want to associate to this façade?
See the list of compatible sensors
5 modes of protection are avaible to find the right balance between thermal efficiency and light confort during summer period.
By default the level 3 is selected.
The last level will be the most restrictive in terms of light and also the most thermally efficient.
The first level will be the least restrictive in terms of light and also the least thermally efficient.
From the summary of your scene:
A. Select the façade you want to customize
B. Select the season you want to customize:

To access advanced settings:
A. Choose action you want to customize: Position1, position 2, etc.
B. Choose the parameters you want to customize:
A. Light thershold (your installation has sun sensors)
B. Temperature thershold (your installation has indoor temperature sensors)
C. Time slots
D. Percentage of opening / closing of devices
2 options are possible:
The configuration does not take the sensor into account. Indeed, the luminosity is not high enough to allow an accurate measurement. Therefore, the opening and closing of your equipment will only depend on the time of day.
the equipment of the configured façades will act to preserve the coolness of your home:
Gradual closing at dawn and gradual opening at dusk:
North/South façade:
East façade:

Closing when the light is strong and opening when it is weak:

Note that in this case, the installation can also take into account a defined time slot or an hour before or after which to perform these actions.
the configured façade equipment will act to let the sun's rays in and thus increase the heat in your home during the day. At night, they will intervene to preserve it.
