TaHoma switch is the newest version of TaHoma.
In opposition to the old TaHoma, TaHoma switch, with its 2 scene launcher buttons, is not only a gateway but also a real command of control and centralization.
With the TaHoma switch, you can put your box anywhere in your house ! Thanks to the Wifi connection, an ethernet cable is no longer needed.Depending on the app you’re using with TaHoma Classic, some differences exist in terms of compatibilities:Difference of compatibility between TaHoma and TaHoma Classic app for TaHoma V2 & TaHoma DIN-Rail V1.

What are the minimum compatible OS supported by the TaHoma by Somfy app?
Once the hub is connected to an outlet, wait for the LED on the top to flash blue. It could take 5 minutes.
If the LED is not flashing blue, follow this FAQ: Why the TaHoma switch is not flashing blue at the begining of the installation process?
Accept Bluetooth then select the Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
The Wi-Fi network must be in 2.4 GHz and secured with a password.
If you encounter issues during the detection or the connection of the TaHoma to the Wi-Fi network, follow this FAQ: Why the TaHoma Switch is not detected during Installation or fails to connect to Wi-Fi network?
Create a new account or log in if the user already has a Somfy account.
Note: The e-mail adress must not already be used with another TaHoma box.
Follow the remainings steps on the TaHoma application to complete the activation.
Open the application.
In the "My home" menu click on "add equipment"
Select the category of the equipment to be added.

Note: Voice assistants are third-party services. Depending on the country of installation and the model of the voice assistant, their availability and features may differ.
TaHoma switch is a smart command to centralize and connect your Somfy and other brands home equipment. It is compatible with three radio protocols: io home-control, RTS and Zigbee 3.0. It also allows Cloud and Voice Assistants compatibilities. TaHoma switch is linked to the new TaHoma app, which allows the creation of manual, planned and advanced scenes and many other features.
Connectivity kit is the gateway to control Somfy motorizations and lighting from the TaHoma app or by voice (with an additional Voice Assistant). The Connectivity kit uses two Somfy radio protocols: io home-control and RTS. Even though they use the same app, the Connectivity kit offers less features than TaHoma switch, for example, only manual scenes can be created.

If you want to replace your TaHoma V2 with one of our new solutions, two scenarios can occur:
If using the same email address, contact Somfy in order to detach the email address from the account. Add your products and configure your installation directly from the TaHoma app.
Activate your solution from the TaHoma app with a different email address.
Transfer the io security key from TaHoma V2 to TaHoma switch:
From the same menu, discover all motorization using this key with the button " Launch an io discovery on your equipment " Io sensors and other products (RTS, cloud, Hue, Sonos) must be added manually. Careful ! Cloud to cloud solutions such as Somfy Protect, Connected thermostat, Somfy keys, Legrand or Schneider cannot be linked to several TaHoma, they must be deleted from TaHoma V2 before adding them to TaHoma switch. If you want to use the same email address, contact Somfy that will take of the account transfer.
